Mozart Rottermann was born in Hungary in 1874. Rottermann was named after Wolfgang Mozart. His art mentors were Berger and Rumpler and he studied at the Munich Academy of Art. He also studied music and graduated from Vienna Conservatory. Rottermann started exhibiting his work at one man shows in Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. He painted classical and realism paintings of the rich class of people and of Jewish community of life. He died in Hungary in 1960.
This painting is an oil on canvas painting signed lower right. The painting is in excellent condition, nicely framed and is titled the "Card Reader".
