This Franklin Drake  is a whimsical painting of purple flowers. Drake was born in 1929 and died in 2001. He was known for his murals, mixed media and conceptual art. In 1972 he was commissioned to decorate a Buick and a Chrysler for the Rolling Stone, John and Yoko Lennon et al. The painting is an oil on canvas signed in the middle front of the work. There is also a label on the back with his name on it. The painting measures 36 x 22 including the silver frame and is in very-good condition.
