Anton Otto Fischer, born in Munich, Germany, in 1882. He was orphaned at the age of 15 years old. He became a printer’s devil and moved to New York City in 1908. He sold his first illustration to “Harper’s Weekly” in 1910. He began illustrating for several magazines such as “The Saturday Evening Post “.
