Louise Kamp was born in 1867 in New York State. She was considered a impressionist artist and exhibited Albright Art Gallery, in Buffalo. She also worked with Milton Avery and Robert Henri. At age 72 she exhibited 72 paintings at Carnegie Public Library. Louise Kamp painted right up until death at age of 92.
