Artist Bio
George Bensell: George Bensell was born in 1837 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvanian. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy and became a landscape, genre frontier and historical painter. He also authored a 22-page poem called “The Artist Dream.” Bensell life was cut short at the age of 42.
