Elisha Taylor Baker, who was born in New York City in 1890 and died in Connecticut in 1890. Baker was a marine artist from 1868 to 1880. He was known for depictions of ships, yachts, and steamboats. He did very few landscapes but used his Hudson River style to enhance his work.
